This is when gameplay became more involved and competitive through its UI. During the 70s and 90s, TV was becoming more affordable,
so it wasn't the big deal in technology anymore.
Throughout the years, arcade machines became more and more popular since at-home consoles were highly expensive and Atari was facing copyright issues
with their creation of Pong. People could instead go to an arcade to play games, and this resulted in the dawn of competitive gameplay.
Space Invaders (1978) was a game of only two colors but intense competition. It was the first game that introduced the new UI element
of high-scores, which incentivized players to play with each other to beat the high score in the arcade machine. This also resulted to more UI
elements being created like remaining lives and rewards in games like Pac-Man (1980).
